(I'd say the quickest song I've ever written. The lyrics are more simple and vague than I'd ever made before, and because of that I don't fully know what I wrote it about. I had the image in my head of the girl that exists only up there, the one that if someone asked you to describe you couldn't, and how I wished I could get to her somehow but knowing I didn't have the confidence to even go out and try and find her.)
lyrics
i could dream you, i'd believe it's you
but dreams aren't my domain
i could save you, be a slave to only you
but saviour's not my name
it's gonna be some time
before you let me out into your world
these wings don't need to fly
they just need the chance to come unfurled
you could want me, oh how you haunt me
this cloudy winter's day
you could reach me, and you could teach me it all
the reason for this rain
it's gonna be some time
before you let me out into your world
these wings don't need to fly
they just need the chance to come unfurled
